Highland Training, founded in 2008, provides coaching and consulting for endurance and ultra endurance athletes. We provide programs are for all athletes, from novice to elite, who are interested in improving their athletic performance, strength and fitness for endurance and ultra-endurance events.
Mike Schultz, CSCS, CPT, is the head coach, founder of Highland Training and has more than 20 years of racing, coaching and training experience from endurance and ultra-endurance events. Mike currently works with wide range of athletes ranging from dedicated age groupers to national and international elites. Mike is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and certified personal trainer (CPT) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), as well as a USA Cycling Certified Coach. Mike also holds a Bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University.
Mike continues to compete within endurance and ultra endurance events on a regional and national level and continues to further study the science behind sports specific training. When not riding and coaching, Mike is a regular contributor to the Training Peaks Blog, as well as other publications. Mike resides in the south west of PA where he coaches and trains full time, year round.
